It is extremely difficult to illustrate all our badge manufacturing options so we have compiled a descriptive page listing most processes and needed information

SHAPING : any badge can be easily shaped at very little extra cost , for example if you wanted a badge shaped like a butterfly , it can easily be done

BACKINGS : Options here are PINS with a moulded safety catch which are very economical and failure free . We do CLUTCH PINS with brass clutches for pin thru and lapel applications. We do MAGNETIC backs in disc format as well as bars , these are very strong and allow the badge to sit flat and don't mark clothes , but are higher priced than pins.

PERSONALIZATION: We can personalise badges but this does add to cost , for very large batches , we require the list of names , 1 name to a line , in excel or text format.

MATERIALS: We use a variety of materials as substrates for badges , mostly top quality engravers brass for gold badges but apart from that , we can offer lighter weight materials like engraving laminates or aluminium and some other very unusual options.

GRAPHICS: We have a variety of ways to put graphics on badges

1. ENGRAVING has a unique effect , very fine detail cannot be obtained , however colour filling of the engraved section is possible . Mostly used on metals and engraving laminates , effective on smaller runs. We also LASER ENGRAVE for much finer detail , this can be done on various foils and substrates

2. DIGITAL PRINTING for full colour or gold/silver foiled badges , this makes for really stunning items and can achieve photographic quality. Very cost effective. Printed on self adhesive vinyls etc and then domed for protection and a jewel like look. We can die cut any print to match a shaped badge at no extra cost.

3. ETCHING or Sandblasting allows an engraved or a frosted/bright look to badges and is a very subtle and elegant effect.

MINIMUM QUANTITY small runs will incur higher costs and we generally set a minimum run of 10 (depending on process) and a minimum of 5 for repeat runs.

COLOURS: Background colours can be matched as close as possible depending on the process

BUTTON BADGES: We can do button type badges , however these are generally higher quality than the normal tin type ones and are thus a little more costly

TEMPORARY BADGES: We do a range of "changeable" type badges , where either the name can be slipped in or written using letraset or a marker on a special surface - our MAGNAFIT badge is ideal for a more upmarket type one of these.

QUANTITIES: We can do very large runs at very effective prices , 10 000+ is not a problem for us
