For many years leading signmakers have been using Perspex for the manufacturing of signs. Perspex has an outstanding track record for weatherability (UV Resistance) and colour consistency in the harsh South African climate. We can Cnc Mill or laser cut acrylic into fantastic shapes and can cut up to 12mm with polished edges in a single pass - we can bend , drill and thermoform this material. We carry large stocks and can laser unlimited lengths up to 1 meter wide there are 2 types of perspex , cast and extruded , cast is better in regard to variety and strength and is less stressed when worked , extruded is a short polymer and is more stressed but better in terms of thickness
(cast can vary by + or - 20%)

Typical applications: Backings for signs , signage , reverse engraved and filled machine panels , desk signs , badges , door signs , cut out letters This material is easy to machine and we can thus cut shapes for fabrication. We can delicately cut a 5mm high letter out of 5mm thick acrylic or a 1.3 meter high letter in 20mm!!
